There is a main cookie and cookie counter at the top center of the screen, with buildings and upgrades lining the left and right sides. As you earn more cookies, you can unlock new buildings, upgrades, and achievements.
The strategy comes in figuring out which buildings to invest in first to maximize cookie production. Some good early game purchases are Cursor upgrades to click faster, and then unlocking Grandmas and Cursors which provide big cookie income boosts. Mid and late game you’ll want high-tier buildings like Time Machines, Antimatter Condensers and Prisms.
There are also random events like Golden Cookie clicks and seasonal events to boost cookie production. The game keeps track of numerous stats and provides tons of achievements to work towards.
Cookie Clicker is highly addictive in how relaxing and satisfying it is to start from nothing and slowly amass an ever-growing cookie empire. It’s the perfect idle game to have running in the background while working. The numbers keep getting bigger and bigger as you play.
